Cotton vs Polyester Ring Canvas: A Buyer’s Guide
At Fight Folk, cotton canvas is hand printed for a traditional, textured finish. Polyester canvas is digitally printed for detailed, full-color artwork. Both can be made for boxing, wrestling or MMA ring platforms; choose after reviewing your artwork, ring specification and a material sample or proof.

Match the printing process to your artwork
Start with the design you want on the ring rather than the sport alone. A straightforward gym logo and a traditional finish are reasons to discuss hand-printed cotton canvas. Detailed artwork, gradients or a multi-color design are reasons to discuss digitally printed polyester canvas.
Send the original logo file if you have it, together with the required print size and orientation. A small image copied from social media may not contain enough detail for a large ring graphic. Ask us to review the file before you approve the artwork.
Compare a sample, not just a screen image
An online image can show layout and colors but cannot tell you how a fabric feels on your ring. Ask about a physical sample or detailed photo and video proofing before a bulk purchase. Review the proposed fabric, printing and fastening specification together.
Do not assume that a material name alone establishes grip, lifespan or suitability for every training activity. Discuss your use, cleaning routine and ring manufacturer’s requirements before choosing a cover. The cover is only one part of the ring surface system.
Use the same specification to compare quotes

- The same number of covers and fastening requirements
- The same logo size, colors and artwork coverage
- The same delivery destination and requested arrival date
- The proposed sample or proof approval process
Ask for care instructions for the finished cover
Request instructions for the specific fabric and printing method in your order. Do not assume that a cleaner, washing method or drying process used on a previous cover is suitable for a new one.
Tell us how the ring is used and maintained so the material discussion reflects your gym’s needs. Avoid choosing a canvas solely on a claim that one material is always safer, longer lasting or cheaper; the finished specification and use conditions matter.
Order one cover or plan a repeat supply
Fight Folk manufactures both material options in Sialkot, Pakistan and ships to US gyms, promotions and distributors. There is no minimum order quantity. For a gym chain or private-label program, keep an approved sample, artwork file and size specification so later orders have a clear reference.
